Missing player from my team in manager career

I am playing Career Mode on FC 24 (PS4). I signed Matheus Cunha from Wolves. The transfer was accepted and the contract was agreed with a join date of 25/09. However, now it’s 27/10 in-game, and the player has not joined my club. He does not appear in the squad hub or transfer history.
