Getting 90s early 2000s Southampton vibes, have home form good enough to be top 4 in the league or even challenging the leaders but then away from putting them in Relegation battles. That said you are sitting more comfortable than they were back then. As for your Süd reference we have that here Southport is further North than Northampton and even Manchester.
Good position overall and great start to season for Stankovic
- JustinCase01102 years agoSeasoned Ace@thurlow885, Sounds pretty similar, yes. Only difference is this being in the second tier. One should really be able to dominate more, if one is to expect going up and also staying there. Fun mention of Southport. I suppose there's also West Ham in the east of London, eh?
Stankovic, yes, he's been great. And thanks for the mention of him contributing for Volendam last season, @Danimal5981, forgot to write that before. I didn't know about him before, so I appreciate the insight.- Stlducks42 years agoSeasoned Vanguard
The away struggles will be the reason you are not promoted if results do not turn around. For a team that was just relegated, you expect to be dominanting the league.
I remember you had a career like this last season, maybe it was Sunderland? Where the defense was very good in year one as you developed the attack and then in year two things took off.

Yes, I believe I followed such a pattern, both at Sunderland and at Hamburger SV before that. Both starting in the second tier before getting promoted quite comfortably in season 2.
