Player career mode Objective adjustments?

Hi there,

I am an avid player career mode player and enjoy playing defensive positions, as thats where i play in pro clubs.

When playing player career mode i tend to get quite high objectives for things like slide tackles, tackle % or avg match rating. In some cases playing with Porto i was expected to create 19 goals as a part of my objectives as a CDM.

I was wondering if the EA team is aware of this issue or if there was plans to look into it? i have tried lowering the difficuilty to try to hit my objectives. However, when i need to make a 119 slide tackles to maintain a spot in a Burnley side as an 18 year old CDM i end up going to a half star team say in the republic of ireland. Due to failing my current season objectives i end up being drawn away to really low rated teams. Id like to progress from season to season and eventually end up at a champions league side and not being able to meet my contractual objectives are keeping from what i want to have for my career mode.

Do we know if EA could possibly look at this for the next update ?

For anyone whos frustrated by these issues dont attack EA or the team, please have a productive discussion with the employees and keep things respectful. Theres no point turning on the developers, its not good for anyone!

Kind regards,

Ardbeg

  • First, I couldn't agree more with your final statement. The attacks and slandering a company that produces video games is a bit much. This game is created for entertainment purposes, not to base your life around so enjoy it or stop playing. It's pretty simple. To your discussion, I too exclusively play Career Mode and have since it was introduced to the game. I don't think I've spent more than a couple days playing FUT. Not for me. So I really stand by the importance of realism and authenticity within career mode. This is where players who do not care about Youtube channels or online bragging rights play. We are your TRUE gamers. We literally play the game just to play the game. I have not played much with Player Career Mode, mostly Manager, but it's the same with the objectives. Example, started a career with Crystal Palace and one of my Critical objectives was Financial Growth and required me to make a profit of 125m Euros by the end of season. Hmm, pretty sure CP DO NOT even have 125m worth of players on the books. With my Milan career, Youth Development was set at Low. NOPE! Not accurate at all. They are currently building a team of youngsters and are trying to get an Under24 team in Serie B. Their number one priority is YOUTH DEVELOPMENT!

For me, the objectives just feel completely random and really should be removed unless EA is going to put some thought into them. I love the idea, but it is not executed properly. Rarely do the objectives of the teams in career mod reflect the real-life ambitions of the clubs. I have noticed in the lower tier English leagues, the objectives I've been given have made a bit more sense but that's about it.

  • @bunch23 Hey, it is complete RNG , for both player and manager career , best advice is to save the last day before you have to end the season so make a save on the 29th of June each year, go in keep on going back to the old save until you get the objectives you want 🙂
