Player Career Mode Position Bug?

I don’t know if this is part of the game or a bug, please help. After starting up a player career mode, I intend to make a striker position new player. After selecting a team to join it automatically puts me into a CDM role. I can’t even edit my players role after playing a few games. How do I fix this? Or is this a part of the game?

    I have same issue but I’m put right back. Changed while in the career but reverts straight back to Rightback - any fix?

    Think it’s related to clubs. So the last position you played on clubs becomes position on player career, restart app and then start new career you can play where like

    @liam2000ritchie2 This is the worst bug I've seen, how can they just release the same * game for years, and have new errors? Thanks for the solution
