Player career mode reset back to the start

I have been playing player career for the past few days and i’ve gotten quite far into the career but i came on at 00:20 to play more and i have seen that my player career has reverted to when i started it, its really annoying as i enjoyed playing the current career so i don’t know if there is a way to resolve this but i would like some answers if possible.
