Player Career Mode Transfer System Still Underwhelming
EA,
The new transfer system is better than it was in my opinion, but it’s still not very good. There are a few major issues I have with it.
First, the objectives. I’ve outlined the issues with that in a separate post titled “Player Career Mode Contract Objectives Are Ridiculous”.
Secondly, there is no loan option or winter transfer option. Why? I just don’t get why those were removed entirely. Personally, I always liked starting in MLS and moving to Europe during the summer transfer window (mid season for MLS) at some point, but that’s now not possible.
Lastly, I would like to give you credit that we can now basically choose a team as if we are a free agent and that we have to meet certain requirements to get to a team or get the wage we want, but I just don’t understand why we have to reinvent the wheel. The real world transfer market is simple. Players sign contracts for a number of years on a wage. They can then either be transferred within the life of their contract, or wait until their contract comes up on expiration and resign or become a free agent and sign with another team.
Why can’t we just make it like that? Why does the career mode transfer market always give us some of those options but not all? It’s not that crazy a concept. We have it with manager career mode, why not player career mode?
I just can’t understand why you go through all this work year after year trying to find a new way to make it interesting just to create a transfer system nobody wants when the real world/manager career system would be perfect. Just implement the manager career mode system into player career mode.
I really hope you look into this. You would make thousands of players happy by making this switch. You’d also keep me off these forums as, for now, that’s the only glaring issue that just turns me off of the game. I hope this is helpful.
Thanks.
