When customizing the AI' in my squad, there's a feature that allows you to prioritize certain players so that they are picked when you enter a match. Unfortunately, whenever these are changed, the choice of player to prioritize just goes back to the default as soon as you back out. This makes the feature basically useless.

Same here.
The "customize ai" function hasn't functioned properly since they introduced it many years ago. Every year there are always issues with it that never get fixed or addressed.
Was nice to hear they finally fixed visual customizations and they are actually appearing correctly in games this year, but low and behold have now broken other things that functioned perfectly fine.
Seems to be EAs MO. Fix one thing, break another.
It's also strange that club managers appearance seems totally random and will change from game to game with absolutely no option to change it yourselves.
Maybe one of these years we'll get a clubs mode that functions correctly and as intended, and not a broken mishmash of features. They haven't managed that in 15 years though, so I don't hold out much hope.
