Pro Clubs
Good afternoon!
I hope everyone is staying warm this winter. I've fallen in love with Pro Clubs and feel obligated to voice some suggestions that, while rooted in good intentions, still hold importance.
Below are some suggestions in no particular order that would improve the overall club experience and inspire the Pro Clubs and Volta community to unite in unity a bit more.
1. Please allow VOD downloads of past matches with player-specific cameras that can be moved around, including but not limited to drop-ins, Friendlies, League matches, etc. This feature would also support commentators and spectators wanting to broadcast the game.
2. Please Create a feature that enables players to spectate. I understand this can be overwhelming on servers, so initially allowing only the top 100 *legitimate* clubs in each respective reason or even allowing a separate category for clubs participating in tournaments leads me to my third point.
3. There are countless tournaments for UT on the PS5, which is excellent; however, reciprocating the same level of exposure would drastically expand the competitive atmosphere for the Pro Clubs community in general. Please do not misunderstand; I am not requesting EA to invest in an Esports scene for ProClubs; while that would be extremely cool, I genuinely believe in taking the first steps in laying the foundation for Pro Clubs in terms of EA-backed events.
4. When tinkering around with my Pro build, I often visit the skill games section on the menu. The skill games menu holds a variety of situations that one can expect in-game; however, the lack of Playstyle+ makes it hard to get an accurate reading on the build. I have had to change my team in profile to select a player who not only plays my position but also has a playstyle that I intend on using, which, again, is not the most accurate avenue in judging a build due to the real-life character having different physical traits, but also only one playstyle +.
5. While this may sound controversial, a dedicated manager role in-game would reinforce the realism aspect and force clubs to be conscious of instilling a leadership role aside from the captain. The manager would have the captain's power but take it up a notch, such as making micro adjustments on the field or having certain perks exclusive to the manager role.
6. Please buff the CDM role. While I do not play this role, I've noticed many defensive midfielders have had to resort to using the fullback role when building a holding midfielder because it has better base stats. Everyone's first thought is to develop their character using their primary position's skill tree and base stats. Don't misunderstand; I think it's incredible that people discover unique builds by utilizing various positions, and I support that 100 percent, but if an individual's first thought when building their character is not even to consider their primary role's skill tree, such as using the fullback/wingback tree when making a CDM, then something's wrong—just food for thought.
7. Please add a dedicated "Stop Tackle Animation" for defenders. The slide-tackling feels like it's always a coin flip in terms of animation. Yes, slide tackling in itself carries a heavy risk vs. reward if not used in a calculated manner, but I believe I can speak for most defenders that most of the time, we find ourselves simply wanting to stop the ball at our feet with our body on the ground without having to slide. As a CB, I've always dreamt of reliving those glory days of slide tackling, for example, the legendary AC Milan back four. While I admit that the community can see this topic as biased and probably traumatized from UT champ weekend grinds, I genuinely believe adding a dedicated "Stop tackle animation" function in a button would greatly help. This addition can potentially be abused, so a fair drawback would be a decently long get-up time to prevent spamming.
8. Please clarify the 'Composure' attribute or add a method for adjusting it by committing skill points. At this point, people are aware that reactions and Composure are essential across all roles, but I am struggling to find resources online that explain what those traits do. Does it matter more for some roles than others? Is Composure a static number regardless of the role or level? What attributes within the skill tree affect it?
9. On a more relaxed note, a 1v1 option within the club would be terrific as it's another avenue for brainstorming builds and team-building exercises.
10. Finally, the customization. As I'm confident by now, your team has seen this request multiple times. I need to be more educated on item migration within game servers, but simply pasting the same boots and hairstyles already present in career modes would eliminate 99% of the customization addition requests. Now, my ignorance could be speaking, and I may have gotten ahead of myself, but is it much more challenging than it sounds? I'm not a game developer or the most talented coder, so it's a genuine question.
If you have read this far, thank you for taking the time to do so. EA, you have the power and monetary backing to make this happen. Like I said, maybe I have gotten ahead of myself and said something dumb. For the record, this post is out of genuine passion for the Pro Clubs community. I am not attempting to be a smart-aleck or a community member releasing their frustration. I made this post solely because I care and understand that the team behind this are humans with lives, too.
Thank you for your time, and God bless.
Cheers,
Aylylek
