I can't believe where Ajax are currently at. I have only been following the sport the past 7-8 years so Ajax always seemed like a powerhouse to me. Seeing them "struggle" last season was different. 

Bergwijn is a talented player if you can get the best out of him. I was sad to see it didn't work at Spurs for him.

Was unaware that Ajax was having it rough lately, shows how much I keep up in world of football these days. 

Always Ike the idea of doing an Ajax career, but also feel I could never do it justice so only ever used them in journeyman type careers.

Will have a proper read through when home from work hopefully 

First win, awesome. And what a start for Medic, at least offensively, scoring early on. I like the idea to use the experienced Berghuis in a central midfield position having lost so much quality there. Having Bergwijn and Brobbey in the front three, I assume you can afford that little less quality up front, putting it in the midfield in stead, where it's otherwise a big need. I bet this change will pay off for you.

I like that you are struggling (no offense) but it makes the career more realistic and fun to follow. Ajax need major help in real life and this career. When the defensive worries early in the season, the attack is letting you down now with two games in a row without a goal. 

Hopefully the new signings catch on quick because it is hard to make up points at the top of the table in this league.

Fun mention of the Mislintat/Akpom connection from Arsenal, I wasn't aware of that. I just love these little bits of information you can pick up while reading up on these stories. Well done. A few more poor results, and then a win vs Twente. Perhaps a hint of better times ahead? Berghuis in central midfield seems to work out just fine, doesn't it?

I knew Ajax were struggling these days, but I also knew that I didn't know the full story and depth of the mess they're in. The way you describe Sven Mislintat and how he apparently puts himself and his connections first - if I understand it correctly that is - wow, that's just poison for a football club. It's really interesting to get this kind of insight. I do feel there's some kind of change coming, once your story is ready to kick off for real.

Sounds like a lot of unnecessary drama surrounding the club at the moment. If the team starts winning, a lot of the tension will fade away.

I do like Chuba Akpom, I liked watching him at Hull before I realized he was on loan from Arsenal. But I admit, him signing with Ajax seemed strange to me. I did not think he was that good to move up to a club like Ajax. 

Trying to make up 9 points is going to be difficult if results do not start turning around soon. 

I was surprised to see Akpom at Ajax, I missed a lot of transfers this summer which is quite ironic as I was often updating a transfer decision thread. He was someone I had picked out from last season dn made a mental note of some plans this year, wasn't until I was messing around on FUT and saw he was an SBC and I see he playing for Ajax.

Can certainly sympathise with you as a fan for the off field drama, had much of that once again at Leeds of the summer. Frustrating football can't just be played on the pitch, but then again us as fans are just as guilty as we've continued to follow and fuel the greed.

Let's hope fortunes change for Ajax irl as well as this career for your and our enjoyment. An uphill battle, but not impossible
