Report on Pro Clubs Game Mode on EA FC

Gameplay Issues:

Pro Clubs, a mode in EA FC, faces several significant gameplay issues that hinder the overall enjoyment and playability of the experience.

Crossing and Defensive Weakness:

A prominent issue lies in the crossing mechanic and the incapability of fullbacks to make effective interceptions, blocks, or tackles. Centre-backs often fail to challenge for headers, allowing opponents to exploit this glitch consistently.
Goalkeepers struggle to hold straightforward headers or make saves, contributing to an unbalanced and frustrating defensive experience.

Goalkeeper Performance:

Goalkeepers exhibit poor positioning throughout matches, leading to an increased likelihood of conceding goals. Their inability to make saves, even when the ball is directed straight at them, raises questions about the realism and fairness of the game.
The time taken by keepers to initiate a kick is excessive, and the resulting kicks often land directly with opponents, creating unnecessary challenges for the player.

Free-Kick Inaccuracy:

Free-kicks from deep positions frequently deviate from the intended direction, often favouring the opponent. This issue is exacerbated when AI-controlled players take free-kicks, impacting the overall fairness and consistency of the game.

Referee Inconsistency:

The officiating in Pro Clubs is marred by inconsistencies, where well-executed tackles are sometimes penalized with unwarranted cards or penalties. While a degree of realism is expected, the current state diminishes the fairness and enjoyment of the gaming experience.

New Pro Clubs Features:

Despite the gameplay challenges, there are some positive aspects, such as the introduction of playoffs. However, improvements can be made to enhance the overall experience and provide more meaningful rewards.

Playoffs and Rewards Clarification:

The addition of playoffs is a commendable idea, but there is a need for clearer explanations regarding the rewards. Currently, the reward system, particularly the allocation of Volta points, may not be perceived as valuable by many players.

Enhanced Incentives:

A suggestion for improvement involves providing more enticing incentives for participating in and winning playoffs. Rather than generic rewards, players could have the opportunity to upgrade their AI teammates individually, giving them unique playstyle traits that align with the team's strategy.

Ultimate Team Integration:

Taking inspiration from the Ultimate Team model, the introduction of a transfer market for Pro Clubs could add depth to the mode. Allowing players to buy and trade real-life footballers as AI teammates would create a more dynamic and engaging experience. This could lead to strategic team-building and gaining a sense of connection between the virtual and real football worlds.

In conclusion, while Pro Clubs on EA FC offers an engaging concept, addressing the highlighted gameplay issues and incorporating innovative features can significantly enhance the overall appeal and sustainability of this mode. By refining mechanics and introducing compelling incentives, EA has the potential to create a more enjoyable and rewarding experience for Pro Clubs enthusiasts.

  • @dobbiniho I've written a long post with the problems of Clubs this year and I even forgot some things.

You are right, the indirect free kicks are impossible to aim. I'm talking about an indirect free kick at say halfway. This is a 'reward for a foul yet a lot of the time these end up in counterattacks against you because they're so hard to aim! It's like they're on Manual with the error rate cranked up. Why? In real life indirect free kicks at half way very very very seldom result in counterattacks

Also, moving the GK at corners is harder. I'm personally not a fan of this system anyway, but it is what it is and now it's been nerfed.

As for upgrading your AI as you mention, I fear that this will turn it into "Ultimate Team" and everyone have unreal stacked teams with defenders magnetically attracted to the ball. I would not enjoy this personally. I think the old system of +2 overall upgrade per 2 division promoted worked fine.

I also agree re: refs. There is no consistency. I have done slide tackle from behind with a pro with a slide tackle rating of about 60 and won ball clearly when I didn't expect to, and other times I've clearly won the ball with a pro with 87 slide tackle rating and its been a RED card. RED. No consistency. I also notice enemy GK often fouls our ST and rarely is a penalty given. (When it's the gk who fouls), again no consistency.

I've also noticed ai defenders give away more penalties in 24 than previously. They seem to do a B "standing tackle" from behind with no hope of winning ball, sometimes when that player no longer even has the ball.

I also believe the B standing tackle is just useless generally, and the "recovery time" from making the tackle is ridiculous. My player seems to stand and look at his watch and then eventually decides to snap back to reality. I don't understand this, or what real life footage they took this idea from.

I'd also suggest the "recovery time" from taking an indirect free kick is too long too. Its hard to 1-2 with the free kick taker as they enter a sort of zombified state for 1-2 seconds before becoming controllable again.

Worst fifa title in years, I hope UFL blows it out the water. Judging by how few are playing 24 I feel a half decent competitor title will do well.
  • @dobbiniho True nerf GK 😭 I can’t make a quick save because they remove quick reflex and add defect playstile which doesn’t even defect somting
