Am I being stupid?
You used to have the date remain on the main landing page of the career mode screen - but now it only shows up when you press advance or go on the calendar.
This is really annoying as you can’t easily tell what the date is!! It makes figuring out what’s coming up much more difficult
Why was it removed? Is it a bug??
It's not a bug. Every bizarre decision they made this year is absolutely intentional.
Their goal is force all offline players to give up this refurbished thing they call football, so that they can eliminate Career Mode in the future and finally focus only on FIFA Ultimate Team.
It's like if the game itself isn't paid at all, by the way.

This is the reality of it, unfortunately. It's important to understand the contempt this company has for you as a paying customer.
