I did not realize how great our home record is. That's one reason I switched to game by game updates, it gives me a chance to slow down and look at the stories and stats instead of just playing game after game.
I still need 3 clean sheets at home to complete one objective.
Makes sense. I wish I could do this myself, but I just play the game too often to make game by game updates. I would probably spam the thread with new posts several times daily, and it would be a drag for me. And I also enjoy getting myself a number of seasons in, so game by game updates would certainly delay that process. But on the other hand I really enjoy other approaches like yours, where rumours, interviews and other things come to life between games.

Denmark! Good to see two Danish players at your disposal. We haven't seen too many Danish players in French football historically. There was a little phenomenon a decade ago, with Evian and Guingamp attracting quite a few Danes. Daniel Wass and Stephan Andersen to Evian. Jonas Lössl, Lars Jacobsen, Nicki Bille and Jesper Juelsgård to Guingamp. Currently there are also Rasmus Nicolaisen and Mikkel Desler at Toulouse, with Mohamed Daramy at Stade de Reims.
I could actually se Victor Nelsson make a move to a club like Marseille. He is currently trapped a bit at Galatasaray, refusing to sign a new contract, thus being left out of the matchday squad quite often. So a move to a top club in France could work out well for the defender, who was in the squad for the 2024 Euros, but was withdrawn last minute with an injury, replaced by Zanka.
Morten Hjulmand is too good and too expensive to join Marseille though. So you should count yourself lucky to have got him in your squad already. Rumours link him with Man United, Arsenal and other top clubs these days, and he actually has an Arsenal tattoo on his shoulder.
A good squad all in all. A little crowded with right backs though. I'm not familiar with the Pemi fellow, and Auba may find himself in a rapid decline. So I would expect your front three to be an area worth strenghtening...
- LABoog42 years agoNew Ace@JustinCase0110 I was very lucky with the squad. Hjulmand and Veerman are too good for Marseille in real life but FIFA Marseille were willing to pay apparently.
Good to know about the Arsenal tattoo, maybe he will go on the transfer list now... 🙂
Right back and striker are crowded. I will hopefully sell a RB or two this window and reinvest for a winger that is needed. The strikers will all get a chance to earn their spot. Auba will start but like you said, he will decline soon so I need to prepare to move on. - LABoog42 years agoNew Ace

Nice to see a mention about Ikoné. In real life, he's being seriously linked to Ajax actually (which is why I follow him with above average curiousity)
- JustinCase01102 years agoSeasoned Ace
I like the Ikoné signing! Obviously the best French players end up in Real Madrid in such, but Ligue 1 really need the second best to remain in the league, rather than joining subtop clubs in Italy etc.
I like your presentation of stats. But may I suggest a minor change? From left to right it's presented with possession-passes-yellow-yellow-possession-passes.
In my opinion it's more logical to do it possession-passes-yellow-yellow-passes-possession, mirroring itself left to right. A minor detail, and perhaps it's just me finding it easier to compare the stats that way.
- LABoog42 years agoNew Ace@Danimal5981 I would like to see him at Ajax, I watch a lot of Ajax games and would like to see what Ikone can do there.
- LABoog42 years agoNew Ace@JustinCase0110 Good suggestion, I will update it. I do like the "mirror" idea, not one that I would have thought of myself.

That's a fast hattrick! Three goals from the 32nd to 39th minute. Incredible. Aubameyang is experiencing his second youth there. What a start, keeping up with PSG so far. Along with Toulouse, who do appear to be the third wheel in the top.
Interesting UCL group. Bayern obviously the favourites with Slavia Praha expected to finish last. I predict that you and Atalanta will have to decide between the Champions League and Europa League knockouts.
- LABoog42 years agoNew Ace@JustinCase0110 I have done that a few times this season, scoring goals in short spurts. Aubameyang seems to always be in the right position for how we play.
I agree on the group. The first match is against Atalanta so a good chance to set the pace early. - LABoog42 years agoNew Ace
Derby delight, OM stay unbeaten
After five matches in Ligue 1, OM remain perfect and sit at top of the table. Moumbagna subbed on to save the match against Rennes with the score 2-2. The backup striker scored two goals in three minutes on only four touches.
Next was a derby against struggling Monaco. Monaco have not won a game this season and came into the derby playing desperate. A hard foul by Camara resulted in an early red card, the match had 9 yellow cards overall. Joey Veerman scored his second goal this season minutes after the card. Ismaila Sarr finished the match after the hour mark with a header at the far post.
Next for OM is the first match of the Champions League against Atalanta.

A substitute coming on to save the day with a brace. Nothing really beats that, except making a comment during a football match, only to hear the commentator say the exact same words the second after.
Aubameyang has had an impressive start too and must be unlikely to drop at this point. But considering his age it must be good to see his backup thrive as well. Veerman doing well too!
Good luck vs Atalanta.

I was actually going to sell Auba because of his age and in real life I'm not a big fan of his but with the way he has started, he will stay the season.
