The Valiants
Port Vale FC, a club with a record that nobody would ever want. They are the longest club to be in existence and to never play in the top flight. 113 season...
Creating your own live start point for this career. I love it. Man City put in League One as well, can't say I'm unhappy about that revelation 😉
Are the mentioned stats for this season only? If so, it doesn't seem like this club holds on to their players that long. 35 games for the appearance leader? Crazy... Unless of course it's only for this season...
As a Man United fan I obviously recognize Dan Gore and James Wilson from your current squad. Wilson seems to be a standout player for you, whilst Gore needs to step up. I like what I've seen from him in real life, so only playing 9 games without any goal involvements is a disappointing outcome for him.
Maybe the same can be said about the loan player Alex Mighten. He's one I've scouted many times in FC24, just never found the right timing in order to sign him. Not familiar with him in real life though.
Good luck with this, I look forward to see where this is going.
The stats are from this season only. I was thinking the same, they have a lot of players that arrived in 2023, I know the lower leagues usually have more movement but this seems excessive.
For the live start, I wanted to do something these next two weeks so this was the idea that I came up with. It took a few times simulating a career and then looking for jobs of struggling teams. Lincoln City, Leyton Orient, and QPR were also considered but I liked the idea of fighting for survival and if I failed then I start in league two just like in real life.
Two wins and two draws, that's not a bad outcome from the first five games. Northampton away, sitting 8th, that has to be a signal win for this side, and beating Charlton was important with them just above you in the table currently.
Your rivals still have the advantage in terms of goal difference and one or two extra games left. But this start makes a promise of Port Vale to be on the path of survival.
It has been a good start. You are right about the games in hand. I just finished March (update coming tomorrow) and I have two games in hand over teams below. It will make for an interesting end to the season for sure.
