Tough break losing to PSV and losing ground on Feyenoord. Hopefully can pick some of that back up soon. 

Still very much in contention in Europe, maybe a good run in Europe could boost the morale on and off the pitch.

Unfortunate defeat vs PSV. That was your chance to catch up with them and Feyenoord. It could be tough now.

Interesting reshape of the club following Van Gaal's instructions. Good to see the club actually listening to the expert (not like Man United inviting Ralf Rangnick to address similar issues only to release him again - apparently without changing anything).

I like how this Europa League group is turning out. Three points to divide top from bottom after 4 games played. It's also surprising to see AEK on top, so this could go in so many different directions, what a thriller.

A 2-4-3-1 lineup is unique. Is that just because playing players like that helps positioning in FIFA or is it a real formation that you are testing? Whatever it is, the results are looking good and you are putting wins together. Gabriel sounds like a great talent. I love finding academy guys and watching them develop in the squad. His impact has been immediate and looks to give the team a spark.

I like this detailed overview of all the standings in the European competitions. Ajax are not the only ones to have underperformed, I see. Man United finishing third in their group... Not too unlikely given their current progress, I'm afraid, but it is surprising that Bayern left the group win vacant for Galatasaray to snatch.

Genk in the next round. I think it's a team that Ajax should be able to beat, but still they might actually be one of the most difficult you could have picked there. Rennes, Real Betis and perhaps Freiburg may be the toughest opponents left now, so if you bring some of the December form with you into the first half of 2024, then you might actually win a trophy here!

Great detail on the tactics and changes, I love to read it. It sounds like Ajax have found their new system and are starting to play like the Ajax we are all used to. Winning the Conference league would be a great first achievement for the youngsters. It is not a competition we normally expect of Ajax but winning silverware in a "down" year is much better than most clubs.

Struggling on so many levels and then still seeing it as an opportunity to rise from the ashes and do something special. Love that. Becoming the first club to make THAT "treble" - Champions League, Europa League and Conference League, that would surely be a feat. I've had a similar wish, both with HSV and Sunderland in last year's edition, where I hoped to end up in the Conference League at some point. But I think I ended up in the Europa League and Champions League each time, if I remember correctly. The same with Rangers in my new save. Started in the Europa League and had a silent desire to finish third and try to go all the way in the Conference League. But things worked out a bit too well, eventually winning the group, so I suppose it wasn't meant to be.
