Agree with you.
It's the most repetitive clubs experience I can remember.
Practically every team is using a particular meta defensive tactic, playing 5 at the back, with all ai players etc set to defend. Then the humans just sprint all over the pitch plugging any holes, as stamina yet again has absolutely no impact in this game. Players can easily sprint 15+km a game and not even break a sweat.
They win the ball back, usually from the super aggressive wall of 8 ai players, 1 pass, sprint down the wing - as they know ai won't be able to keep up or even be smart enough to make a covering run - cross, goal.
Beyond boring to play against, and despite being someone who regular clocks in a few thousand hours each year, I'm struggling to want to play at all even after a week or two - picked it up recently at a huge discount, thankfully. I'd be even more frustrated if I paid full price.
Currently it's the most unfulfilling, unrewarding, repetitive mess of a game. Looks pretty, doesn't resemble football.
Been the same story with these games for years, but somehow it feels far worse and ripe for abuse this year than it has ever been.
