What is "Critical Commentary"?
And why is there a switch to turn it on and off?

Why would a 3-year-old need "protection" from a commentator commentating? I have never heard anything so preposterous in my life.

For those who are easily triggered by video game commentary, there's also an option to disable critical commentary. This too can be found in the Audio tab of the settings menu, and, when enabled, will make it so that the commentators don't say things like "Oh. That's a terrible shot" or "What were they thinking?" when a player misses a sitter or gives away possession due to a poor pass or through ball.
That's what I found from a gaming website online.

I'd like to see a single instance of anyone getting harmed, hurt or injured by commentary on a video game. Just one. No one has ever needed "protection" from a virtual football game commentary. The notion is beyond pathetic and anyone pretending to need a feature like this to disable mild criticism from generic lines of recorded commentary shouldn't be pandered to. They should be told, quite firmly, to get a grip for the sake of humanity.
The endless list of broken things in this game and all the years that people have been begging for simple features that are still not included and THIS is what they are adding? Utterly and completely absurd. It's so ridiculous that I'm still not quite convinced that this is indeed what it means or does. It's "through the looking glass" bizarre. Monty Python level absurd.

This is not a new thing, remember seeing it couple years ago definitely last year at least, I noticed it,.chuckled to myself and tbh forgot about it til you brought it up. Dunno why your allowing yourself to get upset over it. Each to there own if someone uses it
