I honestly think there is a possibility of it being accidental, and the devs may very well just be unaware of the situation. It's most likely at the bottom of their list because it simply just doesn't make them money! It seems to be one of those things that's directly copy-pasted each year. I mean just by looking at the icons of the hairstyles, you can tell which ones came out with the newest game and which ones are from years past. MOST of them are copies from previous years. And I think some of the hairstyles simply 'got lost' or didn't get 'turned on all the way'.
It just doesn't make sense why we used to have the mullet in 22, but not in 23. I have seen AI players sporting the mullet in Pro Clubs matches! And here we are deprived in the newest rendition; EA FC 24, yet again.
The whole situation is unfortunate as it reiterates the sentiment of the devs only caring about Ultimate Team and doing the bare minimum with other modes. They claim they want us to have the freedom of character customization, but here we are.
@GroggyStyle Doubt it's accidental. They introduced new hairstyles this year and removed some from last year, so they must have been aware of how many hairstyles are in the game. Just weird how they haven't addressed this or given an explanation because I can't find a legitimate reason since they had them in 22
