The biggest problem with crossing is that the Offensive player gets an HUGE advantage. AI defenders get out of the way of the cross, even human controlled players are not able to get into position and if they do, the player going for the header magically goes through any defender to get the ball and score. It also feels like the person getting the cross has some sort of force field around them.
@kendogg89 That's my point manual cross shooting makes it the individuals skill no advantage if you can head it away by placing yourself right shouldn't you be rewarded defensively same as if you put that cross in yourself and scored shouldn't you be rewarded and feel good it was all your own work rather than EA deciding if you were lucky this time or not.
I've recently gone to manual for crossing and shooting and find I can do so much more with the ball than the pre programmed animations.
