72 Hours suspension for an Italian club name
I admit it, I am Italian!
I admit it, I'm Italian, even though I play in English and I much prefer English and its sound to that of the Italian language.
However, on EA Fc I chose to use a name that I used on FIFA 21, "Le palle sweaty" that can be translated to "The Sweaty Balls"
But that's not exactly the meaning this thing has in Italian.
It's a saying, which we also used as kids in my football team and which means "fighting hard for every ball".
Being a football game, I thought it was quite logical and I don't think it's offensive to anyone.
However, despite having used it on all of FIFA 21 and FIFA 23 I have never encountered any problems, I found myself banned for 72 hours.
It's very frustrating because I won't be able to complete the evolutions (which I paid with ea fc points, so real money and I'm regretting it now) and I will lose all the daily sbc.
I spoke to support trying to explain that my way of playing is never provocative or offensive: I don't leave the game at zero, I am not a toxic player, I don't write messages to anyone, I even disabled incoming messages so as not to receive provocations from other players.
If I had been told during the creation phase that my team name was inappropriate I would not have used it and I would never have thought that someone would consider it offensive to the point of reporting me. And I think it's due to the fact that some people don't take defeats in FUT champions calmly.
I don't know if anyone from EA Sports in this forum will read this message, but I believe I have been wronged, due to language barriers and misinterpretations which weigh on my gaming experience.
I agree to be notified if something violates community standards and I will always be the first to apologize and take steps to make things right, but the punishment of a 72 hour ban with no chance to fix it is too severe a punishment.
(A name which was accepted by the game during the creation of the team and was in no way intended to be offensive but rather joking and referring to something that perhaps has another meaning in English.)
If anyone here on the forum is willing or able to help me I would be grateful.
I would also like to know what you think about this situation and not receiving a warning or warning before a suspension in this case. I honestly find it a little unfair but I'm human, and I can make mistakes. And precisely because I am human and I can make mistakes, I would also like to be given the opportunity to remedy something as small as a name, without suffering the violence of a suspension
Thanks for reading me and have a nice day!
