There is nothing wrong with your PS5 or your buttons mate. I have exact the same problem with gameplay, slow players, clunky dribbling, awful passes, delayed moves, defence players completely sleeping etc. Feels like my team's AI is Beginner and my opponents' AI is on World class level.
EA will never fix this thing because people still play this game and still open packs for money. May be one day, when 50-70% of players will stop giving them money, they will think about fixing this crazy bad gameplay, but there will be another decent game that day probably. 🙂
