Can't invite friends EA FC 24 PC

I'm unable to invite my friend to play any form of co-op gameplay, they appear as online within the social hub however when I go to invite friend they don't appear. They are able to invite me but I can't invite them. We are both on pc and have the ultimate edition. Is anyone else having this issue and EA can you respond when this will be fixed as currently paid for a game that doesn't work as it should.
