Division Rivals matchmaking too strict for lack of big playerbase

I'm in Australia, it's been an extreme struggle to find opponents. I didn't have a problem with this in fifa 23. To my surprise I can't even find my friends. I am early division 9 and he is mid division 10 so theoretically we should be able to find each other all the time assuming I don't go too far ahead. Please EA you need to loosen your matchmaking as of right now, playing division rivals in Australia is almost unplayable as 99 percent of the time I can't find anyone to play against.
