Basically just play the 3-4-2-1 right now as it plays very well against all the "meta" formations.
Which are mostly 4-4-2 variations.
Against the higher press ones I always have wide outlets in my RM/LM and the CFs that drops to find space.
Against low press the CFs really get too much time on the ball.
The RM/LM are very good at timing the runs and just destroys people who plays very narrow in their defensive shape.
If they push up their CBs or invert their wingbacks to stop my CFs it just opens up a lot of space for someone else.
Frenkie might not look like a conventional CB, but I really like to have him as CCB to progress the ball through his ability to carry the ball, switch the play and play through the lines.
Getting in Acuna and Oshoala has been a revelation, they're so strong and always win their 50/50s. (In 10 games Acuna has 4 goals and 2 assists so far in, whilst Osho has scored 12 times and has 9 assists)
Rodrygo and Neymar are just fun, dropping a bit deeper as CFs to help control the tempo of the game.
If I had the time to play more today I'd probably reach Div 2 today.
Also reached lvl 29 today and packed Messi in the pack, Gundogan was the walkout however 🤔
I was probably getting him back at some point, he'll start as a sub as the team is really vibing right now, but when the MLS get's more special cards he'll probably be right back in. (Could get him on 2 chem with Veron and booting out the women of the team, but really like them, even kept Rolfö as a RM/LM-sub)

I'm back on 433(5)!
After failing 3 times in a row on WL to get 11w I switched to 433(5). 4 wins in 5 games and one draw in DIV4 left me impressed. 1 attacking CM and 1 attacking fullback gives me lots of passing opportunities upfront and wingers are cutting in like always. Nothing too fancy, but it works!
Once again I'm full of motivation to start my WL and FINALLY get that 11wins 🤣 Few new names in my team too; Blanc (sbc), Petit (Icon SBC). Still need to get new attacking CM to replace Llorente and I'm good to go.
What results are people here getting on WL? 10Wins is my best now which is funny cause last year I could get 11w's even blindfolded lol

Want to get the most out of Xabi Alonso, so looking for a good formation that fits him
I just realized that is impossible to play by the middle in this game. Every time I try to make a pass, my players are surrounded by 5 opponents.
Need a new formation that works with my Giroud.

No Guilit level pulls- but Dembele is pretty good.
Did the Enzo card over the weekend whilst watching football,rugby and cricket!
Had to quick sell a Bernado Silva and Modric and have another Salah and Earps ready to go for an SBC- saw a twitter post saying a Thiago Silva or Mudryk SBC is coming, so hopefully its right as I hate have unsorted cards lol.

I've not had time for online game modes this year so far- had only really the weekend to play and been grinding through squad battless, but it's been way more rewardinng than any other year I can remember.
Shorter halfs have made the mode way more viable, only played online to upgrade my Evo Conor Gallagher.
Not felt the pull towards the rivals,qualifier,WL grind at all tbh.
England XI is great as well- got Sterling,Kane,Saka and Bellingham -Gallagher Evo- so that squad coming along nicely.
Salah's card is unbelievable this year and have always got on well with Kane in FUT- can even enjoy the card now he doesn't play for spurs 😃
The best I had until today was RTTK Bruno Fernandes. But today know the hero upgrade, I got Smolarek and Park Ji Sung.
Now I just don't know how I put them in my team. Maybe try the 3421?
Got lucky and somehow pulled Neymar from those Centurion upgrades. So that's an ideal CF for the (5).
Really struggling to play any form of effective possession against the constant high pressure team press that everyone seems to run

im using the 4213 as well.
same issues with the game, pace pace pace.
passing is bad, defending is horrible.
can’t get on with possession this year, pressing is far too over powered.
Hopefully that’s patched soon.

Does anyone still plays this game??
I've been playing less and less. I think it's mainly the Evos keeping me somewhat invested. Being able to a Bolton P&P and not having to rely solely on okocha, nakata and Hierro for once has been refreshing.
Been having some relative success with a 5221 playing it as a 433(5). Using the LCB as a stand in LB once the LWB bombs forward, and then CCB acting as a defacto busquets playmaker role has worked pretty well. Got 12 wins in WL using an EFL League 1 Evo team (albeit with Sneijder pulling the strings aswell)
Anyone have new tactics that work?
@freddfranca I'm finding it very very difficult to keep playing hence why I've not been around much. This patch is the last chance for me, I'd rather play MW3

The wingers feel more like CAMS, as the 2 fullbacks push them inside. Always an easy switch of play from LCB - RW , RCB - LW
