EAFC 24 starhead thread

I don't know if you guys noticed but there are a bunch of new authentic stadiums that were added in the EAFC24 database. Some were expected but some are imo surprising, I hope it means that at some point face scans of those teams will also be added. Here are the new stadiums (found the list on twitter, maybe there are more), you can see for yourselves on sofifa ('FC 24 DEMO') :

- Celtic Park (Celtic)

- Ibrox Stadium (Rangers)

- Estadio Martínez Valero (Elche)

- Power Horse Stadium (Almeria)

- Sportpark Ronhof Thomas Sommer (SpVgg Greuther Fürth)

- Decathlon Arena (Lille)

- Millerntor-Stadion (St. Pauli)

- Udinese Arena (Udinese)

I find the last three surprising/random (Lille, St. Pauli, Udinese), not too sure what to expect though.

Forgot to mention the Vonovia Ruhrstadion (VfL Bochum 1848)

Is there any new exterior shots of stadiums (mainly old premier league ones in EFL?)

So far, no bombastic news regarding Série A.We only have La Liga and I don't think we'll see many things these years.

I've just posted about the removed faces in the beta; if you have access to the beta feedback (bug report section) I would appreciate a bit of support to try and get it seen by EA (and hopefully them do something about it, even if it's feedback as to their reasons). The topic is called 'Removed faces - 45+ players gone from scanned to generic'

And that doesn't even go into generic managers like Hodgson, Ten Hag, Nuno etc that have had faces previously. EA are a joke of a company. They do this same rubbish every year then add so many back through the game in updates like they're doing us a favour adding in starheads that should have never been removed in the first place. They have been scanning players for the past 10/11 years now. You'd think in that time they would improve how they add them, how long it takes to add them, not removing them constantly and making new new scans work in existing saves. Surely all these things are just basic? But ever year rhey remove tons of scans, we have to wait weeks for squad updates to see new faces and then we can't use them in existing saves and it seems to take them forever to implement them into the game after the teams are scanned. We're in 2023. You'd think they would have got to grips with the basics by now. Incompetence at the highest level. 

How many managers were sacked in lal liga.  La liga was scannes in october

Millerntor would be a blast. Not just because St.Pauli is my club, but it would be the first stadium they add to a lower-tier team that has not been promoted before or any personal ties to the devs (like Fratton Park back in the day). Lille and Udine are additions to Top5 League teams. They are odd, but not unexpected.

Regarding faces for these teams. I wouldnt be too sure. I'll take what we can get. But for now it'd be nice if they didnt take away already existing scans.

It's annoying the remove existing starheads but they have got to add more new star heads. The game is completely unplayable with the currently added starheads. I can't seem to get into a single career mode. The Ben White custom is ruining an Arsenal career mode, Villa are the closest I can find to a fun premiership career mode but there's just too make generic players in the premiership now. Juventus is so incomplete so they're not an option, about half the team are scanned. Bundesliga is pointless because you can't use real managers in that league. La Liga is just so incomplete. Every team you use It's a major rebuild immediately because so many players have been left generic. Athletico one of the most scanned teams are let down with massively out of date long haired Geiezman face. Sevilla have Ocampos missing and are selling newly scanned players, Villarreal sold about 4 scanned players. So many Spanish teams that are unuseable. Valencia was one I was looking forward to and Espanyol but both of them have so many players left generic that it's no fun having to replace 10+ players to get rid of the 2003 looking faces. Barely any young players have been scanned so taking a club like Valencia who develops youth due to poor finances it's impossible to develop players because all their young players are generic. To make the game playable La Liga alone would need at least another 100 scans adding to it (that gives every team on average an extra 5 players scanned) 

The premiership would need another 150-200 scans adding to make teams playable (including promoted teams) 

So far the only team I can have any fun with is Real Madrid. Using Arteta as manager I bought Mbappe in attack and a few young players like Fresneda and Pino as squad players and sold a couple of players. I hate playing with the biggest clubs but Real are the only playable option in the game atm. 

Absolute shambles this beta. Makes me want to cancel my pre order.

great club + stadium - Let’s just hope they are scanned as well but seems unlikely when Frankfurt/Union/ Bochum can’t even get scanned 🤦‍♂️

Id also hope to see Udinese scans cause what’s the point if they’re all generic with the real stadium.

The biggest letdown for me is that absolutely ZERO Bundesliga players have been added/updated. When has that ever happened when we know they hold back faces after a league scan for the next game 🤷‍♂️

It doesn’t even makes sense when Skhiri, Hübers etc. would have been scanned at Köln - Skhiri is extra important now for Frankfurt since they are virtually generic

Still no Moriba after probably being scanned twice at Leipzig + Valencia and he’s a young player perfect for CM

Nothing for Führich, Skov, Stiller, Atubolu…

Wishful thinking. I've sent back so many beta feedback forms about the lack of new scans and the amount of existing scans removed. The game isn't even playable. It's almost impossible to enjoy the experience because so many teams and players are just covered in generic faces. You choose any Premiership team, any Bundesliga or Any La Liga team and it's almost impossible to use a team without having to remove key players and replace them. There's barely any managers you can use, barely any teams you can use. This year is about as bad as it can get. At least last year we saw a partial premiership scan. This year it's just awful.

I’d like to believe that but EA has never added a considerable amount of scans at launch. 

incremental starhead additions in title updates would be the worst outcome at this point since we’re so far behind already

👍 Any team plans I made have mostly gone out the window. Key players I would have expected (ex. Hübers, Moriba) to be scanned are not.

Only hope now is Udinese gets starheads. Maybe EA is adding the stadium because they were scanned earliest (before Torino and whatever other teams Serie A teams that are being held back for FC 47) 

btw what good is holding a Wilfred Singo scan back now as he’s playing for Monaco FFS

Always the same with them. By the time faces get released the players move to generic teams or to leagues that aren't in the game never to be seen again. 

My top career modes this year was going to be Valencia, Espanyol, Athletico, Man Utd, Newcastle, Aston Villa, West Ham

I'm now left being able to use Real Madrid, Villa potentially but now Duran or Carlos scans annoys me, Arsenal but Ben White's custom is horrific. I can't use that face, Man City but they just signed generic Doku, Liverpool but missing the young spanish midfielder (I forgot his name). Atletico would be more useable if Griezman was update at the very least.

Just such a mess that they've literally just rescanned La Liga and already it's pretty much unuseable. Why scan teams and only add 5-8 new scans for each team? Surely you'd rescan the whole teams? Add 10-20 new players per team and update old scans since the last La Liga scanning session was from years ago so most scans are now very outdated. 

Real Madrid: Peter, Obrador, Alvaro, Noel, Arribas, Marvel (add some yonger players who you can develop)

Athletico: update Gimenez and Griezman at the very least, add Barrios, Iturbe at the very least

Sevilla: Gueye, Ocampos, Bade, Gil

Villarreal: Lo Celso update, Capoue Update etc so many old looking scans

Valencia: Foulquier, Ozkacar, Moriba, Andre, Vazquez, Mosquera and so many other youth options since Valencia develop players due to poor finances. Completely unplayable! My 1st choice for career mode ruined.

Espanyol: Montes, Vidal, Gomes, Melamed, Gabriel, Pedrosa, Lazo and this is without going into any high potential young players. How can you miss 7 senior players? That's more than half a first team. Joke of a company! 

This is the same throughout the league. Key players missing, No young players scanned and key players not updated from the scanning session years ago. 

Agree with you on la liga stuff, especially as we know now they probably won’t touch the league again for another 3-4 years. 

however don’t understand the remarks about Doku. They’ll scan Man City on a Tuesday and he will sign on a Wednesday and so many people here are unhappy and outraged that he hasn’t been scanned within 5 mins of being in the door. Comments like that don’t help and EA will see it as ridiculous and unrealistic, and therefore not listen to anything posted here 

What bothers me so much is I’ve been wanting a la liga rescan , happy it came but is so incomplete , so many players left this year to other leagues, so la liga is going to look barely touched. My hope is they scan the new promoted clubs and we have more faces coming for launch day . Can’t remember but in years past are faces added that we’re not in the beta?

@scfatotboyland the comment about Doku wasn't aimed at EA not scanning him. Just means Man City are unplayable for me now due to him being generic. My problem is there is just so few teams to use without having to remove players due to them being generic. The fact that Doku isn't already scanned or has a custom is also really poor from EA. We're in 2023. They have 5 times the amount of scanning rigs they had a few years back. They have the fund spare after separating with Fifa to invest into more partnership deals. They have scanned 4 womens leagues in 2 years yet for Men in the past 2 years we have had Bundesliga and La liga with loads of important players missing and a partial Premiership rescan. It's not good enough. Serie A and Ligue 1 should have deals in place by now and be scanned anyway which means when someone like Doku transfers to a big club he's already scanned and ready to go. Expecially Ligue 1 which produces to many talented players that get bought around Europe every year. 

As for La Liga that's it. You can't develop youth players you only have players for here and now so career modes die out very fast when you refuse to use generic players. An as mentioned when players in their prime are getting held back and added years later those players are no longer fun to use because who targets players 30+ in career modes for signings? I know I only focus on players aged 26 and below with the exception of the odd transfer so it's crucial that EA scan and add players 16-20 years old with high potential. Makes career modes more authentic and have more life span before all the scanned players get too old. 

This year has been very very poor thus far and only 1 year have we had more scans added at release that wasn't in the beta so the chances are we could be waiting a couple of months for title updates before we see anything more than what's in the beta.
