EAFC 25 Wishlist
I can't find any posts or forums regarding changes for FC25 so if I've missed something, please let me know and I'll move this to that arena. For now, just a few things i think can be achieved by EA that would dramatically change the next version of the game. Primarily for Career Mode players, such as myself.
- Number 1 priority for me is for Career Mode and is the lack of managers to choose from. This just seems ridiculous to me that there is not a free agents pool of managers. I do not get it. EA removes and adds managers to the game. Where do the removed ones go? Hmm, why not create a free agents list of ALL retired players and ALL managers employed/unemployed who have face scans and allow them to be used. When players retire, they go to the manager pool. If I play a Player Career Mode and retire, I can be a manager with any player. That should absolutely crossover to Manager mode. You added tons of generic looking lower league managers but remove the likes of Klose and Lampard, etc. There is no sense to this.
- Number 2 is definitely the Youth system. I'm not going to bash the current one, as it is way better than previously. I like the variation in looks of youth players. That has improved but could be better. You've finally decided to give them commentary names. Great! Now, let's keep going. How about youth team practices to tryout your young guys before promoting them. Or maybe even simulated youth team matches where your guys actually put up some numbers and you can check them. I should also be able to scope out youth teams from other clubs. Big clubs snatch youngers from the youth academies of smaller clubs all the time and honestly vise versa. This should definitely be an option in career mode. I would also love to have the option to edit my youth guys a bit more. Name, height, weight, etc. and have an age progression system, if possible, to make them physically age as the seasons progress. You are the ones creating them after all so I feel this is possible.
- 3 Is all about the cutscenes. Interviews, News, pitch-side stuff, locker room. etc. is all boring and repetitive. Interviews and press-conferences are identical every time. This is one of the most exciting aspects of controlling the MANAGER. Handling the media is a massive part of that job and the game does not do it justice. Across all game modes the presentation and cutscenes need a major overhaul. The game intros are terrible. 23 was great. Full pre match intro just like on TV. Now, it's straight to kickoff after we see some players get off a bus. Bring the full intro back and simply allow players to skip. I do not understand why that was changed.
- lastly is DLC. Or I should say the missing DLC. We used to be able to unlock boots, balls, classic kits, gear, and career mode boosts. Why is this gone? Make them in-game purchases and make some dough. Whatever, I don't care, just bring it back. The game gets boring with nothing new to unlock or play for. I really miss the retro kits and would love to throw some old school Copas or Tiempos on some players. There are just so many things you have removed from this game EA but you have added literally nothing. I can't even get a hat for Klopp with a logo unless he's at LFC. Nor can you change the color. The limitations of this game make it much less entertaining to play than previous years titles and it's a shame that we've gone so long ignoring the game mode that made FIFA/FC what it is today.
I could list hundreds more, but I think these ones are important and can drastically change the game with minimal effort from EA.
