@KokuSmilie11The only thing I would say is dribbling was too twitchy before and nearly every player could dance around like they were Messi or Maradona. It was too over the top and not realistic.
You also touch on Arcade football. EA have told us that this is a sim they are trying to create. Games should not all be chaotic and ending 7-6. Winning a game 1-0 or 2-1 can just be as rewarding. The odd high scoring thriller sure. But not how it was. Its not what EA told us the game would be. It is a football sim.
UT is as close as Arcade is on this game with unrealistic stats and goals that are scored.
You seem to want realism then mention Arcade. They do not go hand in hand in a game.
Like i said earlier, people complained that the dancing moves when dribbling was stupid (and it was) it needed toned down. You can still do it but it requires more patience. Again, what a sim should be. It should play slow and not 100mph either.
People were just abusing the game speed and the Jerky dribbling. Which wasn't realistic at all.
One should have to think football to get results in the game. That's what it should come down to. Outwitting your opponent. Not out dancing them with 100mph games peed and Jerky movement.
I'm old school where PES was king because of its football is everything approach to how one should win a game.
This game was terrible before the patch. Not saying its now perfect by any means.
2. No, L1 and L2 + R2 are NOT usable now, they are so incredibly slow and have such a high ball control loss frequency it's useless even with Bernardo Silva.
3. This is a GAME, not real life, and it will never be. It's childish, immature, stupid and unreal to believe that this has to be a simulator and in reality, dribbling is so much faster and so much frequent and easier, so in both ways it is NOT right, it's not a faithful representation of reality, and it's not fun. You are only trying to force your own perception of a simulator to make things slower because you can't guess your rival's next direction.
4. Given that it's stupid to want it to be a boring and dull simulator of a reality that doesn't exist, what it really should feel like in dribbling is arcade, and guess what, that's what Winning Eleven's dribbling was and it's how japanese soccer games were all designed to feel like, arcadey dribbling.
In the end, there should be a middle ground and people were just fine with L1 dribbling before this last patch, now it's a hard uncontrollable sweat fest.

How can this be a sim when all premier cards have +15 pace than the real players actually in real life lol. From that point onwards it's stupid to talk about it being faithful to reality, I agree it's just a game and games are meant to be fun, not boring. Not square and dull.
This blue166 guy doesn't seem to have played the newest patch. Try both things in this new patch first.

I see what you guys are saying.
I may have read the first post a little to quickly in a rush and replied without double checking what you were referring too.
I thought I read that the Jerky stick dribbling was toned down. My bad.
Though I would still go with the representation (within reason of a sim)
To the other poster about UT cards and stat boosts etc... - My point exactly is that UT is arcade.
I am a Seasons player hence the want for sim like football. The occasional 0-0 isn't a bad thing. Same with tight low scoring games.
Winning Eleven/PES did have a loser dribbling mechanic but it didn't destroy defending. PES 6 was almost perfect. If it wasn't for the edge of the box shot and Adriano.
P.S I have played since the patch.
But I get where you are now coming from.

I am glad you can see what is evident, it shows that you are not short minded and hopefully EA will see this and act, because there isn't anything on their media about this.
