How to get CDMs to fall back behind ball when defending?

As above... I play 4-3-3 ( 3 )... the one with 2 CDMs. How do I get my CDMs to fall back behind the ball (alongside my defence) when my opponent is attacking? I've seen some of my human opponents do...

@v3ry_n00b having the same issue, I've tried everything nothing is working. I play with Chelsea and have Enzo and Caicedo sitting as the CDM's but they don't track back and defend unless I manually control one of them but that causes other defending issues due to the AI defending.
