Is it possible to play crossplay between PS5 and PS4 with EA FC 24?

- I own a PS4, I don't have PS5.

- My friend owns PS5, and he does not have PS4.

Now my question is, is it possible for both of us to play EA FC 24 with different PS generations?

I have seen a few videos on YouTube where they say that the PS5 version can download both the PS4 & PS5 versions. Some say that it's possible with both Ultimate and Standard Edition.

to get access to the PS4 version on your PS5, you have to start the eafc download on your PS4 (if you own one).

It should then the "select version" button will appear on your Ps5. Sadly if you dont own a ps4 then you'll just have to stick with new gen (rip people who wanted to get it for crossplay)

So

- Does it work in our condition? Mean that can my friend download the PS4 version of FC 24 even though he doesn't have a PS4?

- If it works, then does it work with both Ultimate & Standard Edition? Or it's just the Ultimate edition that should be purchased?
