libertadores and south american cards

Question

HI,How can I use the Libertadores or South American cards in ultimate? Apart from a few rarely proposed challenges, they seem to me to be unusable cards (I'm talking about the non-exchangeable ones). I have almost 100. Can I discard them because they are useless? I don't think they can be used like silver, bronze and gold which always have an update to exchange them with other cards

You can actually use them in place of silver and gold in SBCs, and they also count as Rare, so there's that.

They also have their own league SBCs.

Also, at some point, they will probably have some requirements for objectives. But they sure seem to focusing in on about 15 leagues so far for all the objectives, and the SA leagues have not been a part of that.

I'm holding on to a best XI of them and recycling the rest.
