Oct 24: EAFC 24 match making broken

Is it  me or is head to head matchmaking in EAFC 2024 totally broken?

I was promoted to division 4 and was matched against players from higher division almost every game.   In last five games division 4 (1 time), 3 (1 time) and 2 (3 times).  I won just one game and lost the rest by a huge goal differential.

Has something changed in the game?

is there an article that talks about how matchmaking works and how opponents are selected?
