Having similar issues with my 8 year old's account, understand him not being able to play ultimate team online but he cant even play against friends/family online or download up to date squads for the offline modes!
No issues with any other games & most I can turn off chat etc via family management, seems stupid that the only way he can play with up to date squads is if I set up a new account with a fake age

My son is also experiencing this. His PSN account is 17 years old. He had this with FIFA 22 and 23 as well as now with EA FC 24.
In Family Management on PSN, Network Features is set to Don't Restrict for Communications and User-Generated Content. Everywhere else that has a Restrict/Don't Restrict toggle, it's all Don't Restrict.
I did previously post here about it on FIFA 23 but didn't get anywhere. So he's been using my own account to play FIFA/EA FC 24.
If I can get it working, do EA have an option to port all his progress from my account to his own? Fortnite does offer this as I did it previously.
Lastly, I get there are 'Country regulations' and they should be on by default, but parental judgement and assessment must absolutely supersede those. This is a football game, not extreme violence/porn. I don't really like that I some organisation can dictate what is good/bad for my children more so than me.

Online play, no matter the game, very often has vulgar, inappropriate and offensive content generated by the players. Most frequently with communication via text and voice. This is one of the big reasons for the decision to have children reach a specific age before participating in online play.

I get that, but I don't believe a 'global' ban with no parental override is the correct approach. It's complete incompetence and frankly laziness on regulation makers and service provider parts. And having a 'one size fits all' approach is completely wrong in this day and age. It's like removing everyone's hands at birth to prevent them ever committing a crime, just because a minority of people do. Instead of letting law enforcement, you know, do their jobs. What's the point in having the 'report' feature and in turn Sony etc. blocking players from online play if there is such a global block in the first place, especially when he just uses my account to workaround it anyway.
But anyway - everything I've read says you have to be over 13 (I'm in the UK) - my son's account is 17 years old but FIFA/EA FC Ultimate Team/online mode still doesn't work - it never has. Why and how do I fix it? And then how do I transfer all of his purchases and progress to his own account.
All other games are absolutely fine for online play from his own account. So in this instance it seems an EA thing, not Sony/PSN.
