Pace is not everything: Making other stats more impactful in EA FC 24
I've been playing FIFA since 2014, and I'm really excited about the upcoming release of EA FC 24. However, I have one concern: the importance of pace in the game.
In real football, pace is not everything. Players like Luka Modric and Toni Kroos are world-class because of their passing, dribbling, and positioning, not their pace. However, in EA FC 23, these players are not as useful because they are not as fast as other players.
I think that EA FC 24 should make other stats more impactful, so that players have more options when building their teams. Here are a few ideas:
- Reduce the importance of pace in the game's mechanics. This could be done by making it harder to accelerate and sprint, or by making it easier for defenders to catch up to attackers.
- Increase the importance of other stats, such as passing, dribbling, and positioning. This could be done by making it more difficult to complete passes and dribbles against good defenders, or by making it more important to be in the right position to receive a pass or score a goal.
- Introduce new gameplay features that reward players for using other stats. For example, EA could introduce a new type of pass that is more accurate and powerful, but requires the player to have a high passing rating. Or, EA could introduce a new type of dribbling move that is more effective at beating defenders, but requires the player to have a high dribbling rating.
I think that these changes would make EA FC 24 a more realistic and enjoyable game for everyone. It would also make the game more diverse, as players would be able to use different types of players to build their teams.
