price trend drop?

hey all, 

new player myself here and was just wondering is there a trend for prices for players pricing such as they go up/down during weekends in the idea of weekend leagues or fut champions.

Or do they only go down when packs are dropped which usually come out on fridays to my limited knowledge? Just basically have a fair amount of coins and wanted to see is it worth waiting a certain day to buy a couple of players or is there no real trend in the month of ultimate team so far?
