R2 button on PS5 FC24

I realized that if i set my controller settings for FC24 on PS5 in this way, R2 button doesn't work for quick substitution.

I use R2 for protect ball for Attack and as Jockey for defence.

Once i set it this way, R2 doesn't work for quick substitution when it appears during gameplay. Instead L2 which i set as finesse shot modifier is what allows me do quick substitution. 

This does not happen in fifa23 where i have the exact same controller settings.

Why is this so and how can i solve this issue?

Also if i set L2 as protect ball for Attack and as jockey for defence, R2 works as normal for quick substitution during gameplay.
