I have never heard of someone being compensated for breaking the rules. Again though, we're not able to help with bans in any way over Answers HQ. ToS will need to perform an investigation.
By your logic there, the account should still be banned for this supposed breaking of rules.
the ban was overturned because I did jack * wrong.

You'll need to submit a dispute to have the ban investigated.
I'm now locking this thread as there is nothing we can do to help with bans over Answers HQ.
