- DFuzz212 years agoNot applicable@EA_Aljo I can't see it in that list, not in my library in the PS App.

Unfortunately, I'm out of ideas for this. Please contact an advisor by opening a case here so they can look in to this further. Thanks!

I'm really grateful for your effort, but I've raised a case before and it came to nothing, and there are multiple threads on this forum that come to the same conclusion. I got told that it's not possible and the case was closed with "No Fix".
I feel I don't have something that I was sold, basically, and the help so far has given me no confidence this will ever be resolved.
This is an issue not unique to me and I presume can only be resolved by the physical PS5 version registering with the PS store that the PS4 version is 'purchased'.
I can only hope that Sony/PSN/EA get their heads together to fix this, otherwise it'll have been money wasted.

The answer I was given in the latest case was:
The dual entitlement only works if you have the PS4 version and not the PS5 version. It is specifically for players looking to upgrade from PS4 to PS5 and sadly does not work the other way around if you purchased the PS5 version.
Which is contrary to a lot of the information found on EA Answers for this issue. I can find many threads where the opposite of this is stated.
Is anyone from EA able to formally confirm the above? As it seems many people are looking for this.

This makes no sense to me since the PS5 version comes with dual entitlement. I'm looking in to this for you and will report back when I have an update.

This is really great news - thanks for looking into this.

Did you originally install the game on this console under your own account? If not, can you check to see if the original account can download the PS4 version? If you are using the original account, please try these steps:
- Remove the game from the Library
- Remove the disc
- Restore Licenses
- Restart PS5
- Insert back the disc and check if you're able to install the PS4 Version
Let me know what happens. Thank you.

Hi there, just to confirm that yes, this disc has only been in this console and mine is the only account linked to this PS5, so this account would be the only one linked to this game.
By remove from Library, can I just confirm you mean delete/uninstall the game?
- DFuzz212 years agoNot applicable
If you did mean delete, this is what I've done, and followed the steps you suggested, in that order. I've reinserted the disc, and the game has installed the PS5 version with no prompt or choice from me.
I still don't have the ability to 'choose version', nor does the PS4 version show in my library.
I note a separate thread about this historically has an EA member say the physical PS5 version does not include Dual Entitlement:
https://answers.ea.com/t5/General-Discussion/Ea-fc-24-dual-entitlement-for-ps/m-p/12926670#M7507
Whereas, another thread says the opposite:
I really appreciate your help in trying to resolve this, but it'd be great to know if I'm actually just recieving the expected behaviour. If it's not clear to EA community managers, it's certainly not clear to consumers (like me). I don't think it's something that is just limited to my account.

Yes. Delete/uninstall the game.

@EA_Aljo done - see my post after. Thanks for your confirmation

Thanks. Sorry for missing your previous response. I'll look in to this more and get back to you when I have an update. Most likely, sometime tomorrow.

Hiya - any news on this?

We're still investigating this. I'll let you know when I have some news.

@EA_Aljo sorry to keep chasing. Is there any news? Is this a fault, or is this expected behaviour?

No worries. I'm very sorry for how long this has taken to get back to you on. Unfortunately, not all retailers are required to provide the PS4 version. What you'll need to do is contact the reseller to see if they're providing the PS4 version. Please see the highlighted portion of this screenshot:
This means physical PS5 versions of the game may not have come with the PS4 versions as well. It's not something we can help with in that case.

Thanks for your response. I appreciate you getting to the bottom of this, but surely you can appreciate how poor the messaging has been around this for the customers? It has taken almost a month since launch for me to get a definitive answer from EA, with many staff unsure. How was I supposed to be sure before purchasing?
The wording you've highlighted doesn't definitively state that no PS4 version is available with a physical PS5 version...just that it's playable only on a PS5. Better wording around this topic would have meant I'd have purchased a PS4 version.
I again appreciate your work and response but this feels like passing the buck.
- How would the reseller provide this PS4 version? How would they be provided the dual entitlement code? If they're not required to provide it, how can 'all versions' come with dual entitlement?

I definitely understand the wording and that it's confusing. Unfortunately, that's really the details I was able to get on this. It's up to the retailer to provide the last gen version.
- DFuzz212 years agoNot applicable
Is there any information on how the reseller provides the PS4 version via this method? I've contacted the reseller but I know for a fact that this is going to lead to nothing especially if they're not required to provide it. There's nothing on the Dual Entitlement FAQ that mentions this.
Both the PS4 and PS5 version are and were the same price, but at this stage it appears only one of these gives you access to both.
This is beyond frustrating and disappointing. It is already frustrating it's taken this long to get any sort of progress. It's extremely poorly worded and explained.

and, as I suspect, if the reseller is not providing the PS4 version....
What are my options? Purchase the PS4 version as well? That seems ridiculous.

Unfortunately, if the retailer is not going to provide that disc or code, it would have to be purchased.
- nadjib_022 years agoNot applicable@EA_Aljo i understand we cant get PS4 version through PS5 Physical Disc
but what about Digital Standard Edition
Today i redeemed the EA FC 24 CODE from PS5 Bundle and issue still ON, NO PS4 Version added in library and i asked Playstation Support they told me to ask technical support in working days, does anyone solved the problem here ? - EA_Aljo2 years ago

You should be able to view FC 24 in the PlayStation store and download it. If you don't see it there, try going to the store in a web browser.

If i have a Xbox Series X and i Download the Xbox one version of FC24, can i play with someone on Playstation 4 who also has the old gen version of the game?
- EA_Aljo2 years ago

Hello, @JordonNinja5
Yes. The Xbox One version can play the PS4 version of FC 24. More details can be found here.
