It should charge you straight away, yes. As for when it releases, the standard edition will be available on the 27th of September. We have some more info about release dates and the like here:

I thought pre order meant it don’t come out till 10 days before the game is due

The Ultimate Edition comes with 7 days of early access (So on the 20th). If you have EA Play, you'll get access to a 10 hour trial on the 20th too. But if you just preorder the standard edition, you'll need to wait for the worldwide release on the 27th.

So if I get standard edition I will be charged today it won’t give me like 10 days to take money

Ah, sorry, I thought you were asking about early access there.

Looking at things, it depends on where you prepurchase the game from. I'm guessing you're thinking of buying it via Xbox, and looking at their preorder policy:

If you used account credit to pre-order your game, your balance will be taken immediately. If you used a credit card or split the payment between a credit card and account balance, you’ll be charged around 10 days before the early access period or the release date, depending on the game and version that you bought.

Yeah I’m looking for ordering it on Microsoft store with debit card so that’s why I needed to know if it would take money out straight away
