Re: Grip/Cut Socks Customisation

Completely agree. All boots look so much better with cut socks too.

    So accurate. All the darker boots especially need it.

    I also think the boots that are the same colour as the socks. So red boots against red socks, but these grip/cut socks fix that.

    Really starting to think this won’t even be acknowledged by EA. I’ve seen other members in this forum say the same for many years with no changes.

    If it isn’t ultimate team or a micro-transaction then it’s at the bottom of the list, or even worse, never on the list.

    Wish they would realise that there are players who have played for over 20 years that just want the basic/simple updates to the game make it closer to a real life simulation.

    So my FC25 has just arrived, fantastic to see they can add holes to the back of Bellingham’s socks….but still can’t add grip/cut socks on kits, we’re talking about a white section at the bottom of socks.

    Taking the time to update something that impacts one player, versus something that nearly every player wears is a wild approach.

    Please see the image attached of Bellingham’s socks.

  • That’s been grinding my gears for years now. How is it possible that EA developers haven't added the cut socks uniform style to EA FC? Nearly every professional player has been rocking this look for the past 15 years, and yet, it’s still nowhere to be seen in the game.

    It’s just baffling that a game which prides itself on authenticity can overlook such a fundamental aspect of player uniforms. Whether it's for comfort, performance, or simply style, the cut socks trend has become a staple in football. Seeing our in-game avatars stuck in outdated, full-length socks is a constant reminder of the gap between real-life football and the virtual pitch.

    For those who might not know, cut socks are when players wear their official socks with the foot part cut off, replacing it with their preferred brand of socks underneath. It’s not a minor detail; it’s an integral part of player gear and one that EA Sports seems to be blissfully ignoring.

    Come on, EA—if you can give us hyper-realistic faces and countless customization options for celebrations, surely you can update the kit to include cut socks. It’s these little details that elevate a game from good to legendary.

    Who's with me on this?

    @JUSTOMTAV92 Hear, hear 👏

    I'm not exaggerating when I say it should have been added over ten years ago. Funny that Haaland doesn't wear them in the banner in here, EA either removed them or did a fotoshoot with him not wearing grip socks. In real life he of course uses them, like basically everyone else.

    What about extending the tape to disappear into the boots, as a start?
  • I remember using cut sock mod on like Fifa 18. Must be such an easy fix!
