Repeated Matchmaking with Hackers in EA FC 24 Despite Security Measures
I’ve been encountering an issue while playing EA FC 24, which I need assistance with.
To provide some context, I’ve set up an authenticator app for two-factor authentication (2FA) on my EA account. Typically, after entering my EA ID and password, the app prompts me for the security code, and once entered, I’m logged into my EA account. However, in the past few weeks, the app has been asking for 2FA every time I launch the game as well. To my knowledge, this wasn’t the case previously. When I first purchased the game from the Epic Games Store, the EA app only prompted for 2FA once during the initial launch to link with the Epic account, and I could play the game without issues after that.
Over the last few weeks, though, I’ve been continuously matched against hackers and cheaters in every game I play. Despite blocking these players and their EA accounts, I still find myself facing the same hackers and teams in nearly every match, identified by their UT team name and EA ID. Oddly, these blocked accounts don’t show up in the "recently played" section but appear in the blocked list. I’ve tried changing my matchmaking settings to connect to different players or IPs, but the issue persists.
I’ve also followed all the security steps recommended by EA support, including changing my EA ID and password, but nothing has resolved the situation. This is why I’m turning to the community for help with this issue.
Is anyone else experiencing this problem while playing EA FC 24, or is it unique to my account?
To the EA team: Please consider implementing a more effective anti-cheat system to protect genuine players from encountering cheaters. Additionally, I suggest restricting the ability for players to frequently change their UT team name or EA ID, as this allows cheaters to evade detection by changing their identity after using cheats or hacks.
I would appreciate a prompt resolution to this matter.
Thank you.
