Terrible performance on PC...

I bought EAFC24 on Steam during the sales because I enjoyed playing the old Fifa's. Got into Rivals to play online with my team, as much of ridiculousness there is to talk about this.. the thread is not about the game mode. Playing this is so frustrating because it feels like I'm playing with all my players carrying 50kg on their legs. The gameplay is stuttery, making my reactions sluggish and defense nearly impossible, the game freezes at random moments for a second or 4 and then all I can do is wait for it to catch up speeding without being able to control anything making the opponent easy to score. I'm losing games because it takes me 5 sec more to pass or tackle than the opponent. Even the goddamn menu is stuttering.. While my PC isn't a beast, it still should be good enough to play a medicore looking sports game.. 

My drivers are up to date. I googled the issue and ofcourse many others have the same with no solutions provided by EA. If there is any chance anyone had this and found a fix, please share it with me. I can't ask for a refund because I played more than 2 hours (Volta is pretty good), half of it spending in the menu struggling about getting the game to play.

My PC is 16GB ram, 1060GTX and Ryzen 3
