Issue with Preseason Tournament on Nintendo Switch

Hello,
Has anyone experienced an issue on the Nintendo Switch while in career mode where the preseason tournament does not play all the way through? Instead, it prematurely declares your team as champions. This problem is quite frustrating. Does anyone have any advice on how to resolve this?
