- @EA_Shepard Hi, thanks for the prompt reply. It's on PS5. He tries to open the game but it says 'can't start the game' so he goes to run the update and it says it can't load the update and then a message saying 'something went wrong' code E20000000....
Any thoughts please? - EA_Shepard2 years ago

@RuffledRusk It all depends on the exact error code itself. Most are kind of generic so we would need to see the specific error it it getting. IF you have enough space, then that isn't the issue.
- @EA_Shepard Hi thanks again, we deleted some games to make sure there was plenty of space (checked and we had about double what we needed. The error is E200000000 if I've counted the number of zeros correctly.

@RuffledRusk Thanks. From what I see it is an install error and not a game-specific error as I have reports from quite a few different titles. Make sure that you have no updates or downloads being installed or pending. Everything I see relates to some form of the steps below.
Try the following:
- Highlight the relevant game on your PS5 home screen.
- Press the "Options" button, then uninstall the game, and confirm this decision.
- Go to the "Settings" menu in the top right corner of your home screen.
- Go to Network> Settings>Connect to the Internet, and go offline.
- Try reinstalling the game from the game PS Store and not the library, and wait until it has been fully installed before reconnecting to the internet.
- Once you have reconnected to the internet - by returning to your settings menu - you can select the relevant game from your home screen
- Press the "Options" button and "Check for update" to download any updates for that game.
Alternate option
- Press the PS Button on the PlayStation 5 controller.
- Navigate to the “Downloads” tab.
- Select the problem update, then the “Resume” option.
- Immediately select the update again, then choose the “Pause” option.
- Reboot the PS5 console.
- Repeat the first three steps.
Your standard PS steps
- Manage your downloadable content (DLC) on PlayStation
- Clear the systems cache (Close the game completely > Turn off the console > Wait 30-60 seconds > Restart and Relaunch)
- Verify you signed into your PSN account
- Check for updates
- Restore Licence
- Try the steps in our Connection and Advance Connection Guides
- Open your PS5 NAT Type
- Change DNS settings (You can use the public Google DNS primary: 8.8.8.8, secondary: 8.8.4.4)
- Entering Safe Mode and Rebuild your PS database.
- @EA_Shepard many thanks, I'll try those suggestions in the morning.
