No worries - I hate getting beaten. 

With regards to connecting with a cable. My controller did not have a cable when I bought, but I've connected with 3 different cables from 3 manufacturers - all 3 the same. 
It connects but the lag is awful. 

Thanks for the tip though, I'll see if I can find any others at work. If I find any others I'll try of course and report here.
