To clarify, players can't disappear from your account. If you are unable to locate a player in your team, there are two possibilities - either the player has been quick sold or has been utilized to complete Squad Building Challenges. In the former scenario, you can use Quick Sell Recovery option available in the Web and Companion App. However, if the player has been submitted into an SBC, the action is irreversible as all submissions to an SBC are considered final.
