Re: Servers in south Africa
This is what happens when your paying customers get desperate because they've been ignored for an entire week across all platforms, and your first line support very clearly do not even understand the nature of the issue (which is shocking really - how disconnected are they from the people that actually understand the issues?). Outside of some under-performing government department, can you tell me of one other business or institution where this kind of response (or lack thereof) would be acceptable to you?
Bad customer service is when a customer feels their expectations were not met. Nobody in this thread had their expectations met = this is bad customer service. That's on EA. It's fine to hand out warnings where they are warranted, but at the same time it would be useful to use this as an opportunity to improve support processes/SLAs. That is really as simple as "Hi guys - we're aware of a technical issue affecting players in our MEA region. We're investigating and expect to have more feedback within the next 72 hours. Apologies for this inconvenience". [Solved].
Like I said we dont expect much from EA, but just a little more than this would be gravy. We appreciate you and your help on this.
