So it turns out that if you loan out a YA player, they *permanently* lose the ability to get a Playstyle+, whether at level 80 or level 90.
Let me be clear. This is SO RIDICULOUS that it basically makes the entire mechanic of YA players getting Playstyle+ useless. This is because if you don’t loan out players who aren’t good enough to play in your squad, Dynamic Potential will kill their potential completely.
So unless I want to play my 55-rated YA graduates alongside my team of 85+ rated players, I have to either loan them out (forfeiting the ability to get Playstyle+) or let them rot as reserves and never make it to 80-overall in the first place (thereby also forfeiting the ability to get Playstyle+).
This is so infuriating to discover that I am about to quit my career mode 6 seasons in, just as it was getting fun and my youth players were starting to become relevant.
EA, please patch this ASAP. And please fix this in FC 25, or else I will not buy the game, and I will spread the word all over the internet to make sure that no other CM players buy the game either.
