I think you are correct. EA will probably not resolve issue and no one will get the final rewards.
EA needs to add an extra day to both Advent Calendar Objective and Advent SBC expiration date or have two in one day, otherwise no one is going to finish and get the final rewards.

I think timer is updated now... it is finishing on December 26 at 6 pm UK time.
