Im getting the error message: Connecting to Ultimate Team isn't possible at the moment. You will now be returned to the main menu. Anyone know why this is when the maintenance isn't supposed to start for another hour and 20 minutes. Extremely frustrating as I will now miss out on finishing the season objectives as I work all day tomorrow and only have tonight to get the final 5k xp.

Thank you for your response. So it wasn't a bug, it's a scheduled maintenance. Which was announced just at the moment we couldn't compete in champs anymore.
Team of the season is your biggest promo of the year. All the best players have insane cards. And at the end of the promo the ultimate team is released. In addition, you can unlock some extra player picks if you reach certain goals. Of course we want to be in! So we look at the time we can compete in fut champs. It shows you when it will end and you start to plan your matches.
Then I really don't get how you have a planned maintenance, just let the timer pass and leave people confused without compensation. I don't think that adds up to be honest.
If you do plan a maintenance, why on the moment your biggest promo / champions is ending? And why show a timer which is incorrect?
Interesting that you seems to schedule maintenance during the “working hours” in the North America time zone. For players in the other half of the world, it is the time people can play, after work etc… and missing out on the competition.
Do you think that it is racism by EA Sports?
