The other side of this is EAs horrendous matching of opponents. You are being paired with inferior opposition who will be sick of being put into games they know they will lose.
at this stage of the game it’s pretty common. If you’ve been around since the WL started, many people just quit if they notice any of the things that can’t be discussed or things just generally don’t go their way. When there’s nothing really to play for, people don’t care if they get the loss and lose a game.
I agree, we should get the win because other wise it just becomes a form of trolling. I’ve experienced it first hand with people who were frustrated with me constantly coming back, that they quit in the 70-90 min, just to troll.
more rewards tied to game completion should fix this as well.

I'm sorry but with 20 mins to go I should get the win or the match should be void. For that to be a defeat in a match limited competition is a disgrace.
You guys make a lot of good points. I think, EA is to blame, because they have given their users the tools to be toxic. In my experience, I play to try to have fun, escape the real world for a little while, whatever you want to call it. But I am always pissed off whenever I play Fifa/EAFC, this game encourages people to be toxic. Add bad gameplay, poor servers, broken animations etc on top of that, yeah, I feel the game is made to frustrate the players. And now I see that 25 will have shirtpulling and tackling from behind as a feature.. Way to go, EA! You just added something that will encourage people to be even more toxic! EA, football is about FAIR PLAY, at least, thats what the sports slogan is. You claim you want a safe and good gaming environment, yet, you do the opposite! If you only once can see through your greed, and make a fun and fair game for everyone, that is my wish. But, I guess thats too much to ask…
Thread summed up perfectly in the fact today even when people leave whilst opponent is winning they still only get 1 wl point rather than 4 😃
Why have ea made whole thing toxic, I don't get it.
