Evo Inspect Selection Bug

The other day I was ready to evo my Gerard Moreno in Founders Evolution, however first I wanted to look what other players in my club would look like with the evolution so the last player I had selected was Dusan Vlahovic, I think this is where the issue lies. I realized after that it let me preview Gerard Moreno while still having selected Vlahovic. Admittedly not paying 100% attention I clicked 'x' fast as I was done thinking about it and just wanted to start my evolution to find that I had started an evo with Vlahovic. 

Neither of these players would make it in my starting line up, but I really have been wanting to evolve gerard moreno and it took me a while to get him first owner, as I havent played a game with Vlahovic or ever put him in any of my squads does anyone know if it is possible to revert him to his rare gold and evolve the player I want?
